The Weber Spirit E-425 4-burner configuration gives you serious flexibility. I can sear ribeyes on high heat while gently cooking bell peppers on low. All at the same time. That’s the magic of having four separate temperature zones.

Each burner pumps out serious BTUs—35,000 per hour total. But numbers don’t tell the whole story. What matters is this: your food cooks evenly. Corner to corner. Front to back.

I tested it with everything. Chicken thighs, vegetables, breakfast sausages at 7 AM (don’t judge me). Everything came off that grill with actual grill marks and zero raw spots.

1. How many burners does it have?

It features 4 main stainless steel burners plus a specialized Sear Zone. The Sear Zone is powered by two “Boost Burners” that provide 40% more heat for searing.

2. Does it include a side burner?

Yes. Unlike the E-325, the E-425 comes with a flush-mounted side burner built into the left side table. It’s ideal for heating sauces or sautéing side dishes without leaving the grill.

3. How much food can I cook at once?

It has a primary cooking area of 428 square inches (plus a 105 sq. in. warming rack). This is roughly enough space to fit 20 to 24 burgers at the same time.

4. Do the side tables fold down?

On the E-425, the right-hand side table folds down to save space. The left side table (which houses the side burner) is fixed in place.

5. What is the “Weber Works” system?

The side tables feature a rail system that allows you to “snap on” accessories like a paper towel holder, bottle holder, or extra tool hooks. This keeps your prep space organized and clutter-free.

6. Is it compatible with the Weber Crafted/GBS system?

Yes. It comes with porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates that are part of the Weber Crafted system. You can remove the center grate and drop in a pizza stone, griddle, or wok (sold separately).

7. Can I convert it to Natural Gas?

No. Like most Spirit models, it is sold specifically for either Liquid Propane or Natural Gas. Weber does not sell conversion kits and warns that attempting to convert it will void your 10-year warranty.

8. How does the “Snap-Jet” ignition work?

It uses an individual ignition system for each burner. Instead of one main button, you simply turn the knob of the burner you want to use until it “snaps,” and it lights that specific burner immediately.

9. Is the storage cabinet fully enclosed?

It features a front door to hide the propane tank and tools, but the back of the grill is open. This design helps with ventilation but means you should check for debris or pests occasionally.

10. How long is the warranty?

Weber provides a 10-year limited warranty on the cookbox, lid, and burner tubes. The cooking grates and Flavorizer bars are covered for 5 years, and all other parts are covered for 2 years.
